Bible Hill woman, 49, dies in house fire

RCMP are investigating a fire that claimed the life of a 49-year-old Bible Hill woman.

The Bible Hill Fire Department and RCMP officers responded to a structure fire at a mobile home in Bob Lee Court at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters extinguished the fire and discovered the woman’s body.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation and the province’s medical examiner are fire marshall have been called.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Valley-Kemptown firefighters also assisted, while firefighters from Truro were on standby at the Bible Hill station.

RCMP, EHS and Nova Scotia Power were also on scene.
