Musician Calvin Harris hospitalised following car accident

DJ Calvin Harris was injured in a car accident on Friday as he was headed to the airport for a Las Vegas performance. The artist is okay, but according to his representatives and Facebook page, he has been told to rest “for a few days” by doctors.

Harris was a passenger in a Cadillac when the vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Beetle in Coldwater Canyon, near Beverley Hills, a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokeswoman said.

“A vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with an SUV which Harris was a passenger in. He was transported to a local hospital for a cut to his nose”, the spokeswoman said.

“In the other vehicle a juvenile was ejected from the vehicle for not wearing a seatbelt and suffered a broken pelvis. All the passengers in the car were juveniles”.

According to celebrity news website TMZ, the driver was a 16-year-old girl.

The Feel So Close singer, whose real name is Adam Richard Wiles, was initially forced to pull out of a performance at the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas on Friday.

American band Panic! At The Disco then moved their set to fill in for headliner Harris at Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores on Saturday.
