Police were investigating a double shooting at an Arizona high school Friday morning that was called an isolated incident and was no further threat to the school, Glendale police said.

Two female students at Independence High School were the victims, according to NBC Phoenix.

Glendale police Officer Tracey Breeden told reporters Friday that she doesn’t know whether the victims at Independence High School are students. She didn’t discuss the conditions of the teens.

She didn’t say who fired the shots but said there’s no active shooter situation now.

A large group of medial responders were on the campus, and the school is in a lockdown.

The school on North 75th Avenue is in a largely residential neighborhood.

Whether the shooter or shooters remain at large is not known.

Jerry Weiers, the mayor of Glendale, Arizona, tweeted Friday morning that he sympathized with the students and families at Independence High School there after a double shooting. The school itself remained on lockdown.
