Emu: Exotic Australian bird loose in New Hampshire ‘Video’

Bow, New Hampshire Police are trying to track down the owner of an emu that has been spotted wandering around town.

Bow police said the emu has been spotted wandering around town.

Police do not know where the emu belongs, but said there have been three sightings since Saturday morning.

Officers said they do not know where the emu came from. It is native to Australia.

Sgt. Art Merrigan said his department does not have the equipment necessary to catch the emu, so a wildlife rehabilitator was called to help.

“If they see it, call us because we’d like to get a hold of the wildlife rehabilitator so that they can come out as soon as possible. We’re going to try to keep it in one area if we can,” Merrigan said.
