Santa Robs A Bank? A man in a Santa suit remains at large after he robbed a bank in downtown San Francisco on Saturday during Santacon, a citywide pub crawl in which hundreds of people dress up like Santa Claus.

According to police reports, amid Saturday’s SantaCon fest, a man disguised as St. Nick walked into a bank of the 400 block of Sutter Street and quietly robbed it.

Police say the Bad Santa walked into the unidentified bank at about 1:08 p.m., handed the teller a demand note, and slipped out the door with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On any other day of the year, a bank robber in a Santa suit would have not gone unnoticed, but Saturday just so happened to be SantaCon, the city’s annual pub crawl that attracts thousands of people in Santa suits.

Police had no other description of the suspect other than he was 5-foot-11. No word on whether he escaped the scene in a sled.
