Abbotsford police searching for girl carried off into bushes

Abbotsford Police and search and rescue are out looking for a young girl.

Constable Ian MacDonald with Abbotsford Police says she was seen lying by the side of the road near McCallum Road and Enterprise Avenue Tuesday night, then carried by a man into a treed area.

The man is described as white, in his 40s, with curly brown hair, wearing a dark jean jacket and jeans.

The girl was described as wearing a pink jacket.

Const. Ian MacDonald told CTV Vancouver that officers are appealing for the public’s help to locate the two.

“At this point, even with dog tracks, we haven’t picked up a scent. We haven’t located the two individuals in the area,” he said. “Anyone who was in that area or anyone who can help tell that story needs to call Abbotsford police.”

Anyone with information about this case can call police at 604-859-5225.
