Lindsay Lohan has revealed she’s undergone cryotherapy freeze treatment, which is designed to reduce inflammation and pain in muscles.
The Mean Girls star was struck down with a bout of chikungunya during a break in the tropical islands of French Polynesia in the South Pacific Ocean over the Christmas holidays.
She bounced back from the bug, but has been left with chronic pain, so she is embracing an innovative therapy which uses cold to reduce inflammation in the joints.
Lohan shared a picture of herself in a bikini and face mask emerging from a cold cryotherapy room on her Instagram.com page, adding in a subsequent tweet, “Cryotherapy Zimmer Ice Lab has helped my chikungunya disease with my joint pain! I also have much better sleep (sic)…”
