A meteor about the size of a small car blazed across the sky at a speed of tens of miles per second on Sunday night. People from New Jersey to Ohio reported seeing a fireball in the sky.
The meteor spent the last 3 of 4 billion years orbiting the sun before entering Earth’s atmosphere.
After thrilling Earthlings, scientists said the burning rock probably shot back out into space again.
No injuries or damage was reported.
