One man dead after overnight fire at Alpha House

One man is dead after an overnight fire at a Calgary homeless shelter in Victoria Park.

The fire started shortly after midnight.

Around 150 residents had to be evacuated from the facility. The damage was mainly in the bathroom where the the injured man was pulled from.

Repair estimates are in the 5-thousand dollar range.

Calgary Police say the death is not suspicious.
