A vigil to remember Cédrika Provencher was held Saturday afternoon at Chapais Park in Trois Rivieres, not far from where the little girl was last seen on July 31, 2007.
Two women who helped in the original search over eight years ago organized the vigil in Chapais Park. Gatherers lit candles, sang songs and read prayers in remembering Cédrika, whose remains were found in a wooded area 15 kilometres away last week. A prayer service was also held last night at the Our Lady of the Cape Shrine.
Police have not divulged any new details but say they are satisfied with how the investigation is going.
