Reginald Davis : Man accused of sexually assaulting schoolgirl

Investigators said a girl was sexually assaulted and on Tuesday, the man accused in the attack faced a judge for the first time.

The judge set bail at $250,000 for Reginald Davis.

The 25-year-old is charged with first degree kidnapping, sexual assault of a minor, child abuse, and open and gross lewdness, for what happened on Thursday

His next court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 18.

According to a Metro news release, detectives received information Thursday regarding the sexual assault of a minor, which happened around 6 a.m. that day.

A preliminary investigation conducted by the Sexual Assault Section revealed the victim was walking to school in the area of Michael Way near Decatur Boulevard when she was approached by the suspect and assaulted.

Detectives identified and later arrested Davis near his home on West Lake Mead Boulevard.
