Body identified as Jeffrey Boucher, police say

Durham Regional Police have confirmed a body pulled from Lake Ontario is that of Kitchener native Jeff Boucher.

The 52 year old Whitby resident was last seen January 13th. It’s believed he went out for a jog that morning.

A post-mortem examination performed on the body found that there were no obvious signs of trauma, however a cause of death has not yet been determined.

The body was discovered by a passerby at around 2:20 p.m. Saturday on the shores of Lake Ontario near Thickson Road South and Crystal Beach Boulevard.

Durham Regional Police say they don’t suspect foul play in Boucher’s death.
