Wayne Knight is not dead, contrary to a fake “TMZ Today” report. The site was also the source behind the Chumlee (of “Pawn Stars” fame) death hoax.
The actor best known for his portrayal of “Newman” on Seinfeld took to his verified twitter account to dispel the false rumor of his death.
Some of you will be glad to hear this, others strangely disappointed, but….I am alive and well!

Once he realized he was “trending” he added this message:
Does someone have to DIE to trend? Geez! Thanks for all the love everybody. I didn’t know you cared. Glad to be breathing!

Websites like TMZ and US Weekly ran a detailed story that described how Knight died and two other people were injured in the crash.
Knight joins Celine Dion, Justin Bieber and Eminem as the latest subject of a celebrity death hoax.
