Final Fantasy XV Story Raised To 50 Hours, Report

Hajime Tabata, director of Final Fantasy XV recently gave an interview to Famitsu in which he has revealed that the length for the main story of the game has been increased from 40 hours to 50 hours.

Tabata also revealed some interesting information regarding the content of the game. First of all, he confirmed that Airships will be now included in the game and the development team has already determined how to include them. He also confirmed Cactuars will appear as enemies, and apparently they will be very powerful and hard to defeat.

As for the resolution and frame rate, Tabata stresses the importance of solid 30 fps and has stated that this is their target for the final game.

Since Episode Duscae had some notable performance issues, hopefully they can be fixed in time for the retail release. Square Enix is hosting an event called Uncovered Final Fantasy XV. This event is set for March 30th and the release date for Final Fantasy XV will be revealed at this event along with the start of marketing and promotional activities leading into its launch.

Final Fantasy XV will be released for Playstation 4 and Xbox One sometime this year.
