Snapchat paying near $100 Million for emoji company, Report

Snapchat is buying an emoji company for about $100 million, according to a report from Fortune.

The Bitmojis app is popular on Facebook, where folks often post cartoon images of themselves. The app has been around for some time. In 2014, Google named Bitmojis as one of the best apps of the year.

The app has branched out in recent times with themed “packs” of new cartoon art that put you into the action of the recent “Star Wars” film, and the Disney-Fixar film “Inside Out.”

People doing silly things and making funny faces is quite popular on Snapchat, where users often use filters to get crazy eyes and really long tongues.
