Oscar Predictions : Cate Blanchett, Best Actress Nominee

Cate Blanchett is probably going to win a Best Actress Oscar Sunday night for her performance in Blue Jasmine. That’s an enviable position to be in.

Or maybe not. The actress has to make an acceptance speech and people will be hanging on her every word.

What the hell is she going to say?

The actress has won more than 20 awards for Blue Jasmine, but the landscape changed dramatically after the Golden Globes and the renewed controversy over Woody Allen’s family history.

With her works in major films such as “The Aviator,” “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “I’m Not There,” “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” the 44-year-old has racked up three Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and two BAFTAs. She achieved even further success in 2013 for her starring role in Woody Allen’s “Blue Jasmine,” earning her a third Golden Globe Award, a third BAFTA Award, and a sixth Academy Award nomination. which she is favored to win this Sunday.
