Student falls to death from NYC’s Four Seasons Hotel

A student has fallen to his death while attempting to take photos of the New York skyline from the top of the Four Seasons Hotel.

Police say Conner Cummings was clambering over scaffolding on the 52-storey Manhattan building overlooking Central Park after gaining access to a rooftop level.

He and an 18-year-old friend were trying to take pictures of the city skyline at about 11:15pm on Wednesday when tragedy struck.

Cummings reportedly fell as he tried to climb back into an interior shaft of the building.

Police say he landed on a catwalk nine storeys below and died at the scene.

The psychology student, of Rockaway, New Jersey, and the teenager weren’t hotel guests.

His friend was released without charge, police said.

A Four Seasons reception desk staff member said the hotel had no comment.
