Facebook launches Instant Articles on Android, Media Partners Count at 350

Facebook users on an Android device will be pleased to know that they have a new feature available to them: Instant Articles.

Combined with its recent launch of Instant Articles to everyone on Facebook for iPhone, publishers can now deliver fast and immersive reading experiences to hundreds of millions of people daily across the two most popular mobile platforms in the world.

The company said it has been beta testing Instant Articles for Android with a small group of people on Facebook for several weeks, and as it saw on iPhone, the faster, richer reading experience inspires people on Android to share Instant Articles with their friends more often than they do with standard web articles.

More than 350 publications around the world have already joined the Instant Articles program to date, and more than 100 are already publishing daily — with more joining each day.
