Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton laugh off questions about their new relationship during a joint interview on The Today Show, which aired on Monday.

The couple sat down for a group interview with Pharrell and Adam Levine in advance of Monday night’s semifinal round of “The Voice.” While interviewer Natalie Morales started off the chat by talking about the NBC music competition, she went on to segue to more personal topics. She first eased into the subject by asking Levine and Shelton about their broromance.

After they gave typically goofy answers, Morales then asked, “Gwen and Blake, of course, we all know what’s going on with you guys. Is it good just to be out in the open now?” Pharrell commended the “Today” co-host for her transition, while Shelton let out a hearty guffaw and Stefani smiled uncomfortably.

That led Levine to start singing, “Next question! Next question, please! Ask the next question before it gets awkward!” Of course, it was too late for that. Morales admitted afterward that the interview had her “sweating everywhere.”

Shelton and Stefani have spoken highly of each other in recent interviews and praised one another on social media, but neither has directly commented on their new relationship.
