2 Friends Missing From Rocklahoma Festival

Two friends missing after they vanished following Rocklahoma festival.

Cody Parrick and Ben Babar, both 20, were last seen at the ‘Rocklahoma’ music festival on May 22.

The Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office took the initial missing persons report but Mayes County deputies are now heading up the investigation.

Mayes County authorities and dozens of volunteers have searched near the Rocklahoma grounds in Pryor and the routes the men likely would have traveled to and from the festival, but thus far the searches have yielded no evidence.

Mayes County Capt. Rob Howell says investigators are following up on more than 100 leads, some as far away as Syracuse, N.Y. and North Dakota where people have claimed to see the men’s vehicle.

Parrick and Baber were traveling in a silver 2005 Pontiac Montana that had damage to one headlight. The van has a Muscogee (Creek) Nation tag with the number B8E23.

Parrick is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 and 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a gray ball cap, black shirt and Aviator-style sunglasses.

Parick has a limp from Cerebral Palsy and a speech impediment.

Baber is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and 320 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and black pants.

Investigators are planning an exhaustive search of the area once floodwaters recede after recent heavy rains.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Mayes County with the investigation.

Anyone with information on the men’s whereabouts is asked to call the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office at (918) 756-4311 or the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office at (918) 825-3844.
