Taylor Clark : Body of Student Trying to Sell Car on Craigslist Found

Taylor Clark, Student found dead after disappearing while trying to sell car on Craigslist.

Taylor Clark was last seen by his girlfriend at about 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at a business in Glen Carbon, Illinois, according to a report from our sister station KTVI. Clark reportedly took his last exam of the semester, and turned in his textbooks, that day.

Clark never showed up for his Monday shift working at a gas station in Troy, Illinois.

Clark had reportedly listed his red 2007 Nissan 300ZX for sale on Craigslist, and had spoken to at least one person Monday about the listing. Cell phone records indicated Clark was near an outlet mall in Hazelwood, Missouri at about 11:30 a.m. Monday. It was unclear whether Clark met with anyone about the Craigslist post.

Investigators said Clark had no medical problems or other issues that might lead him to voluntarily disappear. His debit card had reportedly not been used since Monday morning, and calls to his cell phone were going straight to voicemail according to multiple media reports.

The vehicle, and Taylor Clark, remained missing Tuesday afternoon, May 5.

By Wednesday morning, May 6, police said Clark’s body and car had been found in Hazelwood. Clark was shot to death, police said.

A newspaper in Troy reported Clark was found in a shallow grave near his car.
