A Toronto man was arrested Friday in connection with the sexual assault of a TTC employee while she was on the job in February.

According to police, the victim – a 34-year-old woman – was asked by a man in a wheelchair to help him to the upper level of the station shortly before noon on Feb. 27.

Once in the elevator, the man allegedly sexually assaulted the woman.
Multiple security camera images of a suspect were released by police Friday.

In a second release issued Friday evening, police announced that a suspect had been arrested in connection with the case.

Ismail Alsharifi is charged with sexual assault and failure to comply with a probation order.

He is scheduled to appear in court Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto Police.
