Harrison Ford’s Son Ben Ford Says He’s ‘Battered But Okay’ Following Plane Crash.

The 72-year-old was forced to make nose-dived on to a golf course near Santa Monica airport in California in the single-seater 1930 Ryan PT22.

Writing on Twitter, the chef said: “At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man.

“Thank you all for your thoughts and good vibes for my dad.”

Frank Marshall, a producer on one of the Indiana Jones movies, also tweeted saying, “Indy is fine”.

While Mark Hamill joked: “Glad to hear Harrison is doing well. Get well soon. May all his future flights be green-screen!”

Yesterday, Ford’s rep released a statement saying the Star Wars actor had engine trouble when taking off.

“Harrison was flying a World War II vintage plane today which had engine trouble upon take off.

“He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely.

“He was banged up and is in hospital receiving medical care.

“The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.”
