Julie Abrahamsen : Missing snowboarder found alive and well

An incredible update on the missing snowboarder in Whistler-Blackcomb.

After missing for three days, Julie Abrahamsen has been found.

Sgt. Rob Knapton says they found some tracks they believed were hers this afternoon.

“I’m happy to say that at about 130 today we located her in the area of Wedge Mountain and we removed her from there and taken her to the clinic for treatment, but her condition is good.”

Knapton says the woman left the ski area boundary, but doesn’t know how she got lost.

“She is alive and is in good condition. It’s a great story for us, and it’s amazing to hear that after someone spent three nights out in the back country that they are still ok.”

Search and rescue only learned from her roommate yesterday that she was missing.
