Kamloops RCMP officer shot in British Columbia

A Kamloops RCMP officer is undergoing surgery in hospital after being shot during a traffic stop.

The officer was trying to stop the car when “an exchange of gun fire occurred” at about 2:45 a.m.

Officers are looking for a 1998, four-door white Chrysler Intrepid with BC licence plate AF7 65A.

The public is asked to call police if they see the car. The occupants are considered armed and dangerous.
