Boy Crashes Jeep, Rushes Home to Watch Cartoons

A toddler crashed a Jeep into an Oregon home, then ran back to his own home to watch cartoons, police said.

The 3-year-old boy climbed into the Jeep Tuesday evening and knocked it out of gear, according to the Myrtle Creek Police Department.

Around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, an officer spotted the boy in the Jeep by himself for at least five minutes. Hours later, around 7:30 p.m., officers were called to the same area of Northwest Second Avenue after the toddler got back into the SUV and knocked it out of gear.

The Jeep Wrangler traveled down the street, over a curb, through a yard before striking a neighbor’s home, ABC News reported

A witness called 911, stating the child ran from the Jeep wearing only a diaper. Upon their arrival to the home, the child was lying on the couch watching cartoons.

No injuries were reported in the accident.

The boy’s mother was cited with failing to properly supervise her child.
